Through the development of the Regenerative Organic Certification, we support farmers, ranchers, brands, and consumers in the transition to a more sustainable and equitable food system.

Location: USA Based (100% Remote)

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours), exempt
Salary: $100,000-$105,000 USD Annually
Start Date: July /August 2025

Position Overview:

The Director of Marketing & Engagement will play a pivotal role in amplifying the impact of the regenerative organic movement and enhancing the visibility of ROA’s initiatives. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that promote understanding and adoption of regenerative organic agriculture. The Director will report to the CEO, serve on the senior leadership team, manage brand engagement, events, and our Regenerative Organic Learning Center activities. The Director will help build up the marketing & communications function and team at ROA while collaborating closely with ROA’s network of allied brands to drive consumer awareness and education, ultimately increasing revenue within retail partnerships and opening up new wholesale market opportunities for regenerative organic brands and farms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that effectively promote ROA’s mission and initiatives.
  • Brand Engagement: Work with ROA’s Brand Engagement Manager to enhance ROA’s brand identity and messaging, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and values.
  • Consumer Awareness and Education: Collaborate with allied brands to create educational content and outreach efforts that increase consumer awareness and understanding of regenerative organic agriculture.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Lead initiatives to gather and analyze data, utilizing insights to craft compelling narratives that enhance ROA’s visibility and impact.
  • Social Media Management: Work with ROA’s Communications Specialist to grow ROA’s social media presence, overseeing strategy and content creation to engage and inform audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Public Relations Strategy: Manage ROA’s public relations efforts to secure media coverage, increase visibility, and enhance the organization’s reputation within the agricultural and sustainability sectors.
  • Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of ROA’s events, including the Regenerative Organic Learning Center activities, ensuring strong visibility and strategic engagement. Identify and secure speaking opportunities for ROA representatives at key industry events and conferences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments to support marketing needs and align messaging with organizational initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing, ideally within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a proven track record of success in brand management and marketing strategy.
  • Retail Marketing Expertise: Strong familiarity with marketing strategies within the retail environment, including experience working directly with retail partners to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting messaging and content for diverse audiences.
  • Event Management: Demonstrated experience in planning and organizing events, with a strategic approach to enhancing visibility and engagement.
  • Design Skills: Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) to support the creation of marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience managing staff and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Passion for Regenerative Organic Agriculture: A deep commitment to regenerative agriculture and sustainable practices, with a desire to drive social change through marketing initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: a willingness to roll-up your sleeves and identify and implement entrepreneurial solutions and creative thinking to help build the regenerative organic movement.
