SUMMARY:Textile Exchange Conference - October 13-17\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2025 Textile Exchange Conference\nEach year\, the Textile Exchange Conference brings together brands\, supply system partners\, innovators\, farmers\, non-profit organizations\, academics\, and more for three days of curated\, collective learning. \nUnder the theme of Shifting Landscapes\, this year’s agenda will drive home the urgency for our industry to rapidly adapt to changing environments both to mitigate risk and unlock opportunities for systems transformation. \nAdaptation is already happening in many forms. From regenerative agriculture to innovative\, more circular business models\, communities on the ground are responding to immediate environmental risks and changing conditions. The 2025 Textile Exchange Conference will lean into local approaches\, unpacking how place-based insights can support industry-level strategies and global frameworks — while ensuring that those most affected by climate impacts are supported. \n

SUMMARY:Sustainable Food Summit Jan 28-29th
DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Foods Summit North America \n  \nSince 2009\, the Sustainable Foods Summit has been covering major sustainability developments in the food industry. How do organic\, fair trade and other eco-labelling schemes encourage sustainable development? What is the future evolution of plant-based foods? What is the outlook for regenerative agriculture and upcycled foods? What developments are occurring in green packaging materials? What can be done to help the food industry make the transition to a circular economy? Such questions are regularly addressed at this international series of summits.

SUMMARY:World of Coffee - San Diego April 10-12
DESCRIPTION:https://usa.worldofcoffee.org/\nPanel: Does Regenerative Agriculture Represent the Future\, or Is It Just a Fad?\n\nFriday\, April 10\, 2026\n1:30 PM  2:45 PM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLecture Description \nCoffee faces one of its greatest challenges in the management of fungal pathogens — particularly Hemileia vastatrix\, the causal agent of coffee leaf rust. In recent years\, nanotechnology has emerged as a promising frontier for sustainable crop protection. This session will explore how engineered nanomaterials — specifically silica-based nanoparticles functionalized with chitosan oligomers and copper ions — can activate defense pathways in coffee plants\, enhance horizontal resistance\, and potentially reduce the need for conventional agrochemicals. \nDrawing from ongoing research and greenhouse trials with Coffea arabica varieties\, we will discuss mechanisms of action\, results from plant defense gene expression studies\, and leaf disc infection assays evaluating disease progression. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the opportunities and limitations of applying nanotechnology in coffee agriculture\, including scalability\, safety\, regulatory considerations\, and practical adoption for smallholder farmers. \nThis presentation aims to bridge cutting-edge plant science and field application. It is designed for coffee producers\, agronomists\, sustainability leaders\, and anyone interested in innovative\, environmentally conscious solutions for the future of coffee farming. \nDate: Friday\, April 10\, 2026\nTime: 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm\nLocation: Room 24AB\nCategory: Sustainability \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers\nPresenter: \nAl Liu\nDirector of Let’s Talk Coffee\, Sustainable Harvest \nModerator: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJorge Cuevas\nChief Coffee Officer\, Sustainable Harvest \nJorge is the Chief Coffee Officer at Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers.
