Regenerative Agriculture and ROC certification, protagonists in Europe in two important events on Textile sector…
During Climate Week NYC 2024 (September 22-27), Amazon spotlighted Regenerative Organic Certified® brands through its Climate Pledge Friendly program. As the largest annual climate event of its kind, Climate Week NYC features more than 600 events and activities across the city.
Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly initiative collaborates with over 50 trusted certifications to showcase products that meet sustainability standards, including Regenerative Organic Certified. Regenerative Organic Certified licensed brands – including Dr. Bronner’s, Lundberg Family Farms, and Patagonia Provisions – are highlighted on the Climate Pledge Friendly shop page through October 11. In addition to the Climate Pledge Friendly storefront, Regenerative Organic Certified will be featured on the Grocery and Health and Personal Care category pages.
Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge In 2019, committing to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. The Climate Pledge brings the world’s top companies together to accelerate joint action, cross-sector collaboration, and responsible change. Amazon also launched the Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) program which collaborates with a wide range of external certifications, including governmental agencies, non-profits, and independent laboratories, as well as the company’s own certifications to help customers distinguish more sustainable products. Climate Pledge Friendly focuses on certifications that are reputable, transparent, and have a focus on preserving the natural world.
“We are thrilled to announce that the Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly storefront has highlighted Regenerative Organic Alliance during Climate Week,” said Elizabeth Whitlow, founding Executive Director of the Regenerative Organic Alliance. “In building this movement and advancing regenerative organic agriculture, collaborations like this bring more visibility to our mission and ultimately grow the demand for a more resilient food, fiber, and personal care product system.”
“With organic at its foundation, the Regenerative Organic Certified standard sets a high bar for food, fiber, and personal care ingredients and products,” said Paul Lightfoot, General Manager of Patagonia Provisions. “By showcasing Regenerative Organic Certified products in Amazon stores, we have an opportunity to tell the story to millions of customers around the world that there are great sources of delicious food that restore, rather than deplete, the planet.”
“It is imperative to build and scale the movement to advance regenerative organic agriculture,” said David Bronner, CEO of Dr. Bronner’s. “This collaboration with Amazon will bring more visibility to the Regenerative Organic Certified standard and help grow the demand for food, fiber, and personal care products made to higher ethical and environmental standards.”
