ROC™ Fiber & Materials Program for Farms & Farm Programs

Supporting farmers at the center of regenerative fiber systems.

Why This Program Exists

The ROC™ Fibers & Materials Program was created to ensure that regenerative organic fiber production supports and rewards farmers—not just markets.

It recognizes the real work happening on farms and within producer groups while providing verified pathways to reach committed brands seeking long‑term partnerships.

What ROC™ Means for Farmers

  • Organic as the Foundation – ROC™ builds on organic certification, not around it.
  • Recognition of Regenerative Practices – Soil health, biodiversity, and resilience are formally valued and verified.
  • Social Fairness – The standard supports fair compensation, safe working conditions, and economic stability.
  • Progressive Pathways – Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels recognize continuous improvement over time.

Who Can Participate

  • Individual farms
  • Cooperatives and producer groups
  • Farm programs supporting multiple growers

Smallholder and large‑scale operations alike are supported through flexible, region‑appropriate implementation models.

How Participation Works

  1. Certification – Farms are certified to the ROC™ standard through approved certification bodies. Existing credible certifications may be recognized through equivalency to reduce duplication.
  2. Transition Support – The program recognizes the importance of transition—from conventional to organic to regenerative—and supports pathways that build long‑term resilience.
  3. Market Access – Participation connects farms and programs to brands committed to verified Regenerative Organic Certified® .

By joining the ROC™ Fibers & Materials Program, farms signal a commitment to:

  • Regenerative organic practices
  • Transparency and verification
  • Continuous improvement
  • Partnership rather than short‑term transactions

Next Steps

Farms and farm programs typically begin with an intake and readiness conversation to align certification pathways, timelines, and support needs.

Egedeniz Regenerative Practices
No-till cotton cultivation using direct seeding into mulch to reduce soil disturbance and CO₂ emissions. Natural vegetation is retained as mulch, and a diverse cover of crop mix (pea, triticale, barley, oats) is used to build soil health and maintain year-round ground cover. Nutrients are applied through drip fertigation with certified organic inputs.

Social Impact Highlights
In partnership with ETO and UTAEM, this initiative is developing a scalable, evidence-based model for regenerative cotton in Turkey’s Aegean Region.

Transition Programs & Farmer Support
Provides farmers with agronomic guidance, soil and leaf testing, and economic analysis to support informed transition to regenerative practices.

Country
Turkey

Focus
Soil health improvement and carbon emission reduction through regenerative cotton cultivation in the Aegean Region, with scientific data gathering on no-till practices, cover cropping, organic input use, and their measurable impact on soil organic matter, CO₂ flux, biodiversity, and farmer profitability

Fiber/Cotton Type:
Regenerative organic cotton — two varieties under trial: Milet-84 and Bomba. Cultivated in the Aegean Region using no-till direct seeding on mulch, drip fertigation, and cover cropping.
